Before Crackling Wick Candles was born... five sister creators grew up on the back roads in a Pennsylvania log home, raised by a mother who loved creating, art, everything primitive and decorated her home with many of her beautiful paintings. this combined with our mothers love of candles and dream of one day making them, inspired us to make our own. After a few gifted candles were well received by family and friends, the possibility of starting a new wholesale business began to look like a reality. in 2013 we poured our very first batch of primitive, soy candles for retail in our two car garage.
Our goal from the very beginning was to provide you with a high quality product at a reasonable price, that we still follow today. hand poured with love, quality materials; from the crackling wooden wick to the longer burning soy wax made from soy beans, every part of the candles is designed to provide the best product possible.
Choosing the company name wasn't a difficult one; we knew from the very beginning we wanted to choose a name that describes our whole business in simple, understanding words at a glace! makeing crackling, wooden, wick candles is what were all about, so why make it any more complicated then that?
In the summer of 2014 we moved our workspace to a brand new and upgraded small candle "Shed" as we call it! with this upgrade we were able to produce approximately 50 candles a day!
Those were the early days, and now SO MUCH has clanged.
Two of our sisters moved on... Laura our former operator and manager moved, along with her husband, two hours south of us. teaching us everything she had learned in the candle world we took on the challenge
to work together to create something that will bring you and others happiness or bring back a memory through scent.
Homemade products carry a certain charm that mass produced goods simply cannot compete with. the small business world has provided us with incredible customers, several of whom have become good friends.
Although there are many features of the homemade, crackling wick candles that we love, one of our favorites in the variety of scents we get to experience throughout each day. and this is exactly what Crackling Wick Candles company wants to give you!
