Candle making is an art that we at Crackling Wick candles take special care in doing well. We pay attention to detail and look over the finished product before sending it to your home. You've seen what we can make, but you've never seen all the work that goes into creating our specialized and unique primitive candle. We want you to come along on this journey and see what our candles go through, and all the love that goes into every pour before it comes into your hands.
Our mother was a fan of everything primitive, so after researching and seeing these types of "Grungy" jar candles on pintrest, she tried them herself. (read our story)Though it is a long process, they come out so cute and perfectly primitive that they became our "signature thing". Our special recycled, coffee ground mixture and white glue are what make our Crackling Wick Candles so unique.
From the first coat of coffee to the last coat of glue, each candle jar takes approximately one minute till its complete. Its a messy but fun process.
Crackling Wick Candles consist of a safe vessel, all naturally grown soy bean wax, a crackling wooden wick, and rustic essentials fragrance oil. The pouring process begins with putting wicks in.
We then prepare the wax and add fragrance oil. The oil is carefully measured so the candles and tarts will have the perfect amount of scent. Pouring the wax is always fun and enjoyable. We let the wax get solid then melt the top down with a heat tool to get rid of any sink holes.
Once all the wax has again cooled and hardened inside our
signature jar, white painter jar, and clear jar, we clean up the
candles.
After they are labels, fitted with a lid, and stocked, Kayla finishes
up the process by boxing up your candles along with a hand
written note for you.
Finally, YOU can shop your local store and experience the joy of
a wonderful product made with you in mind.
